This is a really fun event. All sorts of exhibitors from around the city converge on Holmes Elementary, including Mobius, NOAA, and Turnbull Wildlife Preserve. If the weather is decent we'll get the 'scopes out.
Setup is from 4:30 to 5:30! Dinner provided during setup time. We could really use another volunteer or two.
The Spokane Astronomical Society has donated a telescope to the Shadle Library that's available for check out. Attendees will learn about basic astronomy and then go outside in Shadle Park for some stargazing!

First quarter moon (almost) sidewalk astronomy "star party," at the south end of Franklin Park. Should last from 7:00 pm (maybe a bit earlier) to around 10:00 pm--or whenever the clouds move in. This event will be automatically cancelled in the event of rain, snow, hail, or overcast sky.
